Back to School Tips Every Parent Needs to Know
It’s that time of the year again! The kids are heading back to school and it’s likely that as a parent you will have to deal with a whole new set of challenges that come along with this.
If you find yourself struggling to come up with ways for making your child's back-to-school transition easier, don't worry! Here are some tips that will help prepare your little ones for a successful new school year.
1. Establish a Routine
Establishing a consistent routine is very important for children. Get them into a habit of going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. Have them follow a routine in the morning and make sure they take one of our reusable kids water bottles to school to stay hydrated.

2. Make a Checklist
Before school starts, create a checklist of school supplies your child needs. Have a list of items that your child needs like stationery, textbooks, a Polar Gear insulated lunch, reusable water bottle, and a backpack. Check those items off when you have purchased them.

3. Organise a Study Area
Having a designated study area at home is important during the school year. Make sure your child has a quiet, comfortable place to focus on his/her work. Keep it free of clutter and distractions and make sure there is space for their Tracker Bottle (Link to tracker bottle) so that they remember to stay hydrated.
4. After School Activities
After school activities are a great way for your child to be involved in something they enjoy. Whether it's a sport or an art class, after-school activities can also help improve self-esteem, social skills, and discipline. Don’t forget to pack their favourite snack in their Food Flask to keep them going until dinner time.

5. Communicate with Your Child's Teacher
Take the time to speak with your child's teacher before the school year begins. Know what is expected from your child in school. Be aware of the school curriculum and the expectations the teacher has for your child. Let them know you're always available if needed.
The back-to-school season can be overwhelming and stressful for parents, but with some careful preparation, we can ensure our children have all they need for a successful and happy school year!
