Repurpose Your Christmas Leftovers

Repurposing your Christmas leftovers is a practical and flavoursome way to reduce food waste. By getting creative in the kitchen, you can make meals that are just as delicious as they were on Christmas Day!

Festive Mac and Cheese

Transform your leftover ham, turkey or roast beef into a delicious pasta dish. Cook your favourite mac and cheese recipe and add your chosen meats to the mix. For extra flavour, you can sprinkle in some chilli flakes, garlic powder or fresh herbs. To make it even cheesier, add a sprinkling of grated cheddar on top and bake in the oven until golden and bubbly. Once you’re done, pop it into our Insulated Microwave Bowl for easy storage and reheating!

Turkey Soup in a Flask

Take your leftover turkey and turn it into a hearty soup that you can take with you on the go. Simply add chopped vegetables, such as carrots, onions and celery into a pot with your turkey leftovers. Add in some stock, seasoning and herbs, then simmer until the vegetables are tender. Once cooked, pour your soup into our Insulated Food Flask and take it  with you to work or school.

Sprout Bubble and Squeak

Leftover Brussels sprouts can easily be transformed into a delicious side dish with the addition of mashed potatoes and bacon. Mash your cooked sprouts together with leftover mashed or roasted potatoes and mix in crispy bacon pieces. Form the mixture into patties and fry in a pan until brown and crisp. These make the perfect accompaniment to any meal and can be enjoyed as a nibble or even a main dish.

Leftover Roast Veg Frittata

Don't waste those roasted vegetables – turn them into a flavoursome frittata. First, beat some eggs and add a splash of milk, seasoning and herbs. Next, add your leftover veg and cheese then pour the mixture into a baking dish. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs have set and the top is golden brown. Serve with a side salad for a healthy and filling meal.

Turkey and Stuffing Croquettes

Make the most of your leftover stuffing and turkey by transforming them into croquettes. Chop up any leftover turkey and mix it with the stuffing. Shape the mixture into small balls, coat them in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve with a side of cranberry sauce for dipping.

With these ideas, you can have a tasty meal ready in no time and won't have to worry about wasting any of your Christmas feast. So next time you have surplus of festive food on your hands, get inventive with your leftovers and create something exciting for your family and friends to enjoy!
