3 Comforting Food Recipes for Your Polar Gear Food Flask

1. Creamy Butternut Squash and Sage Soup

Ingredients:

·        1 medium butternut squash, peeled and diced

·        1 onion, chopped

·        2 cloves garlic, minced

·        750ml vegetable stock

·        125ml coconut milk

·        Fresh sage leaves

·        Olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1.        In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.

2.        Add the diced butternut squash and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3.        Pour in the vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the squash is tender.

Instructions:

3.        Reduce heat, add tomato puree and thyme, simmering until lentils are tender.

3. Spiced Apple and Cinnamon Porridge

Ingredients:

·        100g rolled oats

·        500ml almond milk

·        1 apple, peeled and diced

·        1 tsp cinnamon

·        1 tbsp maple syrup

·        A handful of walnuts, chopped

Instructions:

1.        In a saucepan, combine oats, almond milk, diced apple, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly.

2.        Once the porridge thickens, stir in the maple syrup and remove from heat.
